Tab for Reddit App Reviews
Good!
Nice, but needs improvement. Simple and clean. Good job.
Too slow!!!
This app is so slow that it could be mistaken for “not working at all”.
Would be perfect if the desktop mode had support for RES! Otherwise its the best Reddit client short of a browser. Its perfect for those who check reddit often and just want to have a quick distraction now and again without disturbing whats happening. I love how a quick Reddit check can be a short cut key away.
It doesn’t really know how to handle multiple screens. I wanted it on monitor 2 and when I try to resize it, it automatically snaps back to monitor 1. Kind of annoying and will be the reason I won’t use it.
Pretty simple app. Hides in the finder menu bar and displays all reddit posts. Easy to navigate and allows for quick access to reddit. If you are an avid reddit user, this app is a must have. I personally am NOT a heavy reddit user, but do enjoy browsing the site from time to time. For being very low recourse and not having to use a full blown browser to view, this is pretty ideal for me. Well done.
Simple. Awesome. Works great. You can change from Mobile View to Desktop View, and have a wider-screen view of Reddit when needed. Very slick. Will be keeping!
This is really good for quick Redditing. My main gripe is not being able to use touchpad for actions. For example, they should really enable touchpad zoom-in and out for images within mobile mode. I was unable to see bigger images properly due to not being able to zoom out. Also, enable going back and forward via touchpad gestures.
if you’re a regular reddit reader and on a mac you have no excuse not to use this app, other than the productivity you’ll lose with it being in your menu bar. ;-) seriously, well done (like all their tab apps). works great. and can’t complain about the price! thanks!
This app seems like it should do everything I want it to do. However, since installing it has run very slow. The response time for anything to load is nearly a minute. Has this been a problemf or anyone else? If I’m missing something please let me know.
Doesnt work well under yosemite atm. Menubar icon in dark mode is messed up and scrolling the mobile page is slow. Also resizing the window doesnt work all that well. But the price you pay for free.
I love Tab for Reddit and really want to use it with my account, but every time I log in, Reddit tells me “You are doing that too much. Try again in ___ hours.” and I get locked out for hours at a time. I even tried creating an alternative account to check and make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong. Sure enough, I used Reddit on my desktop without any problems, and mobile worked fine too. As soon as I used Tabs for Reddit, I got the same message again; “You are doing that too much. Try again in ___ hours.” I can’t for the life of me understand what’s going on here. I’ve never had this problem before using the app today. No other app has ever given me this problem, whether desktop or mobile. Please help! I want to use Tab for Reddit. I think it’s beautiful and as soon as this issue is resolved, I’d be more than happy to give 5 stars because it’s the best desktop client for Reddit I’ve ever seen. I just need help ASAP! Thanks!
this app used to be amazing and i always used it, its a simple and easy way to always have reddit ready to go on your laptop… or at least it was before the OS X update, which wont alow me to do anything on the app anymore. i tried to delete it and download it again, but nothing has worked. its free, so if you want to try it, go ahead, but if it doesnt do things like even expand, give up and go to a web browser
Does Not Work for my Macbook
This app does not work. Disappointing. I can’t sign in or anything. So annoying.
